Brett is a registered Osteopath and Accredited Exercise Physiologist. Brett’s university training includes a Master of Osteopathic Medicine, Bachelor of Clinical Science and Bachelor of Exercise Science. As a health care professional Brett has worked in a variety of settings including medical centres, hospitals, sports and injury clinics, gyms and home rehabilitation.
Brett has a passion for the field of Osteopathy, helping people improve their health and quality of life and offers professional support, education, and individual goal setting to improve ones overall health and wellbeing. He embraces evidence-based medicine along with his clinical experience to formulate the best treatment and management necessary for his patients.
Brett uses hands on manual therapy for diagnosis and treatment of the neuro-muscular skeletal and visceral systems including soft tissue therapy, myofascial release, muscle energy techniques, joint manipulation and indirect techniques.
Brett provides treatment that is specifically tailored for the whole person. Along with using the principles and philosophy of Osteopathy to facilitate healing, he encourages and supports his patients to take control of their health.
Exercise prescription is often administered as part of his patients rehabilitation and management plan.
Brett has a particular interest in treating shoulder injuries, headaches, neck and back pain and sports injuries.
In Brett’s spare time he enjoys surfing, yoga, resistance training, cooking and exploring the amazing coastline of the Northern Rivers!
