Shiatsu Massage

Shiatsu is a form of Japanese bodywork therapy that uses finger and palm pressure to stimulate energy pathways known as meridians. The term “Shiatsu” translates to “finger pressure”. It involves techniques such as kneading, tapping, soothing, and stretching to correct internal malfunctions, promote health, and maintain the body’s physical and mental well-being. Shiatsu practitioners use their thumbs, fingers, and palms to apply pressure to specific areas of the body to improve the flow of Qi (life energy). It is used for stress reduction and for the treatment of musculoskeletal and psychological conditions. Shiatsu is typically performed on a mat on the floor, and the patient remains fully clothed during the session.
