Ayurvedic Massage

Ayurvedic Massage, often known as Abhyanga in the traditional Indian medicine system, is a holistic healing technique using warm herbal oils, chosen according to one’s specific Dosha or constitution (Vata, Pitta, Kapha). This technique involves massaging the body with large amounts of warm oil, utilizing various movements such as tapping, kneading, and squeezing, along with more traditional massage techniques. Its primary purpose is to balance the body’s energies, eliminate toxins, promote relaxation, and maintain overall health and wellness. It is often integrated into broader Ayurvedic therapies including diet, yoga, and meditation, and is typically performed by one or two therapists working in sync. The Ayurvedic Massage is a key part of Panchakarma, the comprehensive Ayurvedic detoxification treatment.
